Just a little over 12 hours until Shaun and I go in for our ultrasound! I am so excited and a bit nervous all at the same time. Not sure why I am nervous, I guess maybe its because this will be our first real glimpse at our newest addition. Either way I am very excited and cannot wait. Little Boy or Little Girl? I guess we shall see! Hopefully I will have ultrasound pictures to share tomorrow! Now the question is, will I be able to sleep tonight? If not I am sure I will have plenty to say and share! Goodnight and I will have more tomorrow!

21 Weeks…!!!
Well I am now 21 weeks pregnant and counting, obviously! I am more then halfway through my pregnancy and all of the real fun has started. The Little Marshmallow is moving a lot and while you still cant feel he or she from the outside, I feel the movement constantly. 99% of the time its great, but there have been a few unfortunate moments where the little bean has decided to use my bladder as a punching or kicking bag. Its been a joy though and feeling our baby move is the best feeling ever.
For all of you who have and even haven’t voted, only 5 more days until our ultrasound! That means only 5 more days to let us know what you think our Little Marshmallow is! I cant wait and have been counting down the days, hours, minutes, seconds…. I really just want to see our baby and make sure things are looking great. Finding out what we are having is secondary to everything else, but I am still excited! More to come soon!
20 Weeks… Half Way There!!
Well its finally here… the half way point! The first 5 months of pregnancy seem to fly by and maybe thats because there isnt much going on. You cant feel your baby move, your body hasn’t made its drastic changes, and the first 3 to 4 months are spent feeling sick as a dog. Now the fun begins and the reality sinks in as well, in a good way of course!
The Little Marshmallow is really starting to move now and I can feel he or she moving a lot more. On several occasions I have been able to place my hand on my tummy and actually feel the movement with my hand. I also had my monthly check at the doctors office yesterday and everything seems to be going well. My OB was able to find the heartbeat right away and several times it sounded like the Marshmallow was trying to hit the Doppler mic. Another great thing about this appointment was that I was able to get some issues resolved regarding an appointment for my ultrasound, which means I officially have an appointment! March 1, 2010 Shaun and I have an ultrasound appointment and will be able to see our little one very soon! At this appointment we will be able to find out the sex of our baby, which I cannot wait to do!

Cameo’s Baby Shower
Cameo is a very dear friend of mine and we have known one another since the age of about 4 or 5. We met at Bobbie’s and danced pretty much together until the day we graduated from high school. Even though life has become busy and we now have responsibilities as adults, time has not kept us from being friends. Cameo was married last year on June 28th, 2008, on my birthday! Her hubby Josh is fantastic and now they are expecting their first child, a girl, in November. I couldn’t be more excited for them!
Yesterday was Cameo’s baby shower and I felt so honored to have been there on such a happy day. It was a brunch shower and the food was awesome! Josh’s mom is an amazing cook. I ate more then I should have. The shower was simple and allowed everyone to mingle and catch up with everyone. Cameo looked radiant and so cute! Love that belly!
After some food and chit chat, Cameo sat down to open her presents. Boy oh boy did she get some cute stuff for her little girl. I think it was made apparent that a lot of people would like to see Cameo’s little girl dance too! We will see what the future brings. 🙂 The one things that I thought was very neat, and I might have to steal, is that on the invitation we were asked to bring our favorite childhood book to add to her little girls library. Very clever! She received a lot of wonderful books!
I had a wonderful time and I cannot wait to meet their beautiful baby girl. What a blessing and a gift. Congrats to the both of you!
21 Weeks and 6 Days!
Well we have jumped around a bit, but I am now 21 Weeks and 6 Days pregnant. We have had several great doctors appointments since our first and everything is going well. We had our 2nd ultrasound and we had the chance to find out whether our baby is a boy or a girl. To keep from spoiling things, we wont anounce the sex of the baby through our blog. If you would like to know, just ask us and we will be more than happy to tell ya!
Along with the sex of the baby, we were able to see hands, feet, a little button nose, what looks to
be a very healthy spine, kindeys, stomach and heart. Unfortunatly the baby was turned in a way that wouldnt allow a full view of the heart, but so far so good. When we get to California we plan to go back in for another ultrasound to get a better view. Currently the baby is between 7 and 9 inches long and just over 1lb. My tummy measures at 26 inches from my pelvis to the top of where my uterus sits. According to our doctor, we are growing at a perfect rate (both the baby and myelf). So far so good! I am definitly showing and as we all know, I am not getting any smaller!

Luckily, when we put the house on the market back in April, a lot of our belongings were packed into a POD, shipped down to California, and stored until we found a home of our own. We only kept what we needed and what made the house look nice and staged. There isnt much left to do! The movers come Wednesday and we start our drive back when they finish. We hope to be in California and moving in to our apartment on Saturday, but we dont plan to push it. It will be nice to be back in the sunshine again!

Hello and Welcome to The Baby Babbler!
Shaun and I want to welcome you to our blog, which will keep everyone up to date about the baby, our lives and much more. But first, lets back track and make sure that everyone is up to speed!
Shaun and I were married on June 16th, 2007 and so much has happened since then! After returning home from our honeymoon we spent not more then a month together in Shaun’s house in Woodland Hills, California. By September we were completely packed up and on our way to Seattle, Washington to start a new adventure together. The house was put on the market and sold in October. By the end of Novemeber we were moving into a beautiful home and officially settling in. On February 3, 2008 (Super Bowl Sunday to be exact) after about 7 different tests and the most advanced piece of technology any girl will ever 
pee on, Shaun and I discovered that we were pregnant! It took forever to get into a doctor up here, but we did recieve the official word and our first ultrasound at about 10 weeks. Once we discovered that we were pregnant, Shaun and I realized jut how much we missed California and that we really would like to be back “home” again. So now we are on our way and ready to get back to family and friends!
